Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has launched an epic 43-day voyage featuring four countries, three ships and 21 Unesco World Heritage Sites.

The new route was unveiled to agents by Uniworld CEO Ellen Bettridge as part of her keynote address at the CLIA RiverView conference in Budapest today (Sunday March 20).

Taking place in January 2023, the world’s most exotic river and land journey combines river cruises and luxury tours through Egypt and the Nile, India’s Golden Triangle and the Holy Ganges and the Southeast Asia, via Vietnam, Cambodia and the Mekong.

Chris Townsend, UK Managing Director of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, said: “At Uniworld, we are constantly striving to innovate and further enhance our guest experience in new and exciting ways.”

“Given the huge popularity of our first Rivers of the World itinerary, which takes place in 2023 and sold out within days of going live, we are extremely excited to announce our ‘river and land voyage‘ on most exotic in the world”, exclusively for the UK market. It is the ultimate exotic river and land experience at an unrivaled level of luxury, offering the finest accommodation, cuisine and immersive small-group enrichment available.

“This fabulous 43-day itinerary reflects the clear trend we are seeing of guests booking back-to-back river cruises wanting to maximize their time away and enjoy it at the highest level of comfort and service. The bucket list journey begins in January 2023, a month generally considered the darkest and coldest for us here in the UK, giving even more reasons for our customers to take an extended break in exotic climes.

The itinerary begins in Egypt, combining five nights in Cairo at the world-class Four Seasons Hotel Cairo and a week-long cruise aboard the newest Nile river cruise ship – the super ship Sphinx.

Guests will then fly to India, where highlights include the Golden Triangle; a seven-day meander on the Ganges; and a visit to the Taj Mahal at sunset and sunrise.

The trip ends with thirteen days in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Cambodia and the Mekong.

This limited-time trip will run from January 7 to February 18, 2023, with international flights from London and Manchester. Prices start from £18,885 pp based on two people sharing, but are available with a 10% early bird discount (until 31 May or until sold out) from £16,995 per person sharing.
