Oceania Cruises’ Around the World in 180 Days 2024 voyage sold out within 30 minutes of opening earlier this month, with the majority of bookings made through agents.
Navigation on Insignia went on sale March 2. Almost half of customers have never sailed with the line before and 18% of all bookings were for extended sailings of 196 days. In addition, 42% of customers sailing on the 2022 round the world rebooked for the 2024 sail.
Nikki Upshaw, senior vice president of sales, said “the vast majority of bookings” were made through travel partners, adding, “This launch would not have achieved the record success without the support of travel advisors across the whole world”.
Alongside global cruising, the line also launched four new 72- to 82-day voyages in the Asia-Pacific region aboard Regatta, Nautica and Riviera.
The enthusiastic response from customers resulted in a new one-day booking record for Oceania Cruises, surpassing the previous record set in September 2021 by almost 12%.
