AN EXCLUSIVE residential cruise ship that is home to millionaires docked in the port of Malaga for three days

An exclusive residential cruise ship – the only one of its kind in existence – named “The World”, moored in the port of Malaga, on the Spanish Costa del Sol, today, Monday September 27, where it will stay for three days.

This incredible ship is inhabited by millionaires, who spent between 1 million euros and 6 million euros to buy one of the 165 luxury residences it contains on 12 decks, from studios to 3-bedroom cabins, and there is actually a waiting list for vacancies on the ship.

To get on this 196-meter-long ship, you have to be part of their exclusive maritime community, and it is possible to rent one of the residences, between € 1,000 and € 4,000 per day, but you must first be recommended by one of the owners, then approved by the others, in addition it is necessary to prove a capital of 10 million euros.

About 200 owners normally stay on board for about three or four months at a time and sail around the world, enjoying a life of luxury and care. Each year the owners meet to agree on the sailing route for the following year.

Designed by Norwegians Petter Yran and Bjørn Storbraaten, at an estimated cost of 300 million euros, “The World” made its maiden voyage in 2002, carrying a crew of 250, for the wealthy passengers, who on average have between 50 and 60 years old, and mainly European or North American.
