Doctors at the hospital reportedly diagnosed a concussion and spinal injury and used 15 stitches to close his head injury.
According to friends of the Ukrainian tourist, hotel officials refused to accept responsibility for the incident and sold parasailing trips the next day.
His friends said they noticed they were using the same red parachute that their friend allegedly used when the crash happened.
It is not known whether they have filed a formal complaint.
