Walt Disney Imagineering on Wednesday shared an update on the construction of the all-new cruise ship, the Disney Wish.
The ship is currently scheduled to make its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral on June 9, 2022.
Imagineers said that in recent months the construction of the ship in Germany has passed several milestones.

“After months of dedication and hard work, we got to see the exterior of the ship come together. Disney’s wish is almost over from a construction standpoint! We continue to work on the interior fittings, cabin installations and commissioning of the ships, ”Philip Gennotte, head of portfolio project management at Walt Disney Imagineering Germany, told the blog.
Since its last update, Disney Wish’s iconic front funnel, last block section, and “back watermark” have all been installed.
In a time-lapse video, Disney shared the times the rear section was put in place at the construction site.

“Not only does each step signify another step towards the launch of our new ship next summer, but it also represents the amazing team that made each step possible,” said Gennotte.
Last weekend, at a D23 fan event at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney announced two brand new shows for guests to experience aboard the ship.
When guests board the new ship, they will be able to explore the immersive worlds of Disney including Frozen, Star Wars, Marvel Superheroes, and of course, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their friends.
