Portrush All Weather Lifeboat was tasked shortly before 10am this morning to report a speedboat with three people on board in difficulty in the Portstewart area.
An RNLI spokesman said: ‘The volunteer crew arrived at the scene and prepared to launch the Y boat to assist. However, the coastguard was on scene and could assist from shore. The ALB and its crew of volunteers were withdrawn and returned to the station.”
