Exclusive behind-the-scenes secrets on the world’s most expensive Christmas cruise will be revealed tonight (Christmas Eve).
Cameras have been cleared aboard the Seven Seas Splendor for the world’s most expensive Christmas cruise program to air on Channel 5. Viewers will be amazed at the sheer luxury of facilities available to guests.
The new hour-long documentary follows the inaugural festive season of Seven Seas Splendor at sea. Viewers can watch 542 crew members work around the clock to ensure that ship’s guests have a magical time on board.
Led by Cruise Director John Barron, the crew transforms the ship with 70 boxes of decorations worth almost £ 70,000. The festive look of the ship includes three Christmas trees in the atrium, 15 trees in the rest of the ship, and a 260-foot garland wrapping around the central staircase.
During the holidays, Seven Seas Splendor will have around 200 pounds of geese, 600 pounds of turkeys, 200 pounds of ham, 20 different types of cheese and over 38,000 bottles of wine on board for guest enjoyment. In addition, eight varieties of Christmas cookies, 1,000 servings of pumpkin pie and 200 Yule logs are on board.
Viewers will also witness a variety of guest experiences on and off the ship, including a tour of the beautiful private island of Grand Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.
