Days before she sails on her maiden voyage from Southampton, Celebrity Cruises’ newest cruise ship, Celebrity Beyond, Arrived in Southampton in the UK. The ship will inaugurate a new era of luxury cruise ships on board, said Celebrity Cruises.
Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship will include a restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud, while movie star Gwyneth Paltrow serves as the ship’s wellness adviser. Captain Kate McCue will be at the helm of the ship.

The third Edge-class cruise ship Celebrity Beyond arrived in the UK in time for its maiden voyage which will depart on April 27. Until then, the captain and crew will prepare her for the first guests and the upcoming ceremonies that will welcome one of the most spectacular ships in the world.

The ship has a world famous captain and leader of inclusivity, diversity and change at the helm, Captain Kate McCue. As Captain dishes away, she has the honor of leading the celebrations that will culminate with the first guests set foot on board next week:

Exquisite design and function
Celebrity Beyond was designed by a team of world renowned designers and architects, Kelly Hoppen CBE, Nate Berkus, Jouin Manku and Tom Wright. The ship has significant changes from her two sisters.
She is 20 meters longer, giving her a sleeker and longer profile, has an additional deck, 179 suites and more staterooms, and the Retreat has 40% larger deck.
There are gastronomic experiences from Michelin-starred chefs, such as Daniel Boulud and his Voyage inspired by travel, and experiences and products from CEO and founder of goop, Gwyneth Paltrow.
The 140,600 gross ton vessel will also bring home the Magic Carpet, the elevated platform that cantilevered above the sea, providing some of the 3,260 guests with uninterrupted views while sipping cocktails or while having dinner. Celebrity Beyond features a total of 32 food and drink locations.

As she sailed to her first home port, Celebrity Beyond and its 1,400 crew members were welcomed by the CEO of Celebrity Cruises UK and Ireland Jo Rzymowska.
“We have been looking forward to this moment of arrival and are delighted to welcome Celebrity Beyond as it sails to Southampton, launching its inaugural season in Europe and setting a new standard for luxury,” said Rzymowska.
Celebrity Beyond will make its maiden voyage on April 27 2022 10-night cruise in Western Europe will visit Bordeaux, France; Lisbon, Portugal; and Seville, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca; and Barcelona, Spain.
Celebrity Cruises’ new ship will spend the summer in Europe until early October. The cruises offered are nine-night Italian Riviera and France itineraries and 10-night Greek Island itineraries.
After repositioning cruise in New York Celebrity Beyond will be based in Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, to April 23, 2023.
