Cunard Cruise Line will welcome exclusive new additions to its 2023 Insights program in Alaska, including specialty guests Mensun Bound, Kenton Cool and Felicity Aston.
One of the most recognized personalities in outdoor adventure, Bear Grylls OBE, will join Queen Elizabeth’s 2023 maiden voyage to Alaska, departing from Vancouver on June 8, sharing some of his experiences as the l one of the youngest climbers on Mount Everest.

World-renowned adventurer Bear Grylls will join Cunard’s 2023 Insights program in Alaska, as the line announces an exciting new lineup for the 2023 Alaska Insights enrichment program.
Headlining the season, Grylls will share some of his experiences as one of Mount Everest’s youngest climbers on June 8 as he embarks on of Queen Elizabeth young girl 2023 Trip to Alaska from Vancouver.
As a bestselling author, television presenter and all-around adventurer, he will make his first appearance on a cruise ship when he returns to Alaska for the first time since his momentous visit with President Barack Obama in 2015.
Cunard North America and Australasia Commercial Vice President Matt Gleaves said: “I’ve been a fan of Bear Grylls for Man against Nature and I’m delighted that our guests will be able to see it live on Queen Elizabeth next year.
“Alaska is all about exploration and our team of world-class pioneers will bring the adventure on board; it will be an experience that cannot be found anywhere else,” added Matt Gleaves.
With stops in Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka, Cunard’s 12-night trip to Alaska will escape to beautiful Glacier Bay National Park, Tracy Arm Fjord and Hubbard Glacier.
Alongside Bear Grylls, Dr. Rachel Cartwright, an award-winning naturalist, and Alaska Native Voices cultural heritage guide will also make an appearance on this itinerary as guests bask on Queen Elizabeth through an Alaskan adventure.

The 2023 Insights enrichment program will also include several guest speakers on board such as Mensun Bound, Kenton Cool and Felicity Aston, a polar scientist turned explorer.
Six additional trips will be offered by the line in June, July and August, as each route features a different explorer as part of the Insights program.
List of Insight Alaska Featured Speakers
For the launch of the Insights 2023 program, Bear Grylls, a best-selling author/adventurer who has sold over 20 million books, will be the keynote speaker for the June 8 Alaskan Experience.
British mountaineer Kenton Cool, who has summited Everest 15 times, including leading Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Ben Fogle on their respective expeditions, will feature on board Alaska cruises from June 20-30 from Cunard, sharing his experiences as an English mountaineer and guide.
On July 7, Pen Hadow, the first and only person to complete one of the last great polar challenges – solo, without resupply, will share with guests on board as the cruise line takes its guests on an unforgettable adventure.

One of Britain’s leading polar explorers and the first woman in history to ski to the North and South Poles in an all-female team, Ann Daniels, will join Cunard’s voyage on July 17, 2023 to Alaska as as a specialist speaker on board.
Plus, Felicity Aston MBE, a polar scientist-turned-explorer, award-winning author, TV presenter and world record holder for being the first woman to ski across Antarctica alone, will embark on a voyage of exploration. on July 27 alongside ready-to-adventure guests.
On August 7, marine archaeologist Mensun Bound, known for his recent discovery of Shackleton’s ship Endurancewill complete Cunard’s 2023 Enrichment Program Series on a trip to Alaska as a keynote speaker on board.
